What a little sweety.
Is there any way to peel away just the top portion of the shell (like a little hat) and then just put the hat back on top? That's what I did with mine in the last hatch and it took awhile but he hatched himself. He was so exhausted that I don't think he would have been able to crack the egg himself. We named him SYA (Saved your a**) and he is now the leader of the pack.I've got 2 SLW out and a 3rd zipping now.
My Eng Orp is still not making progress, but the veins seem to be absorbing, so I just peeled some more shell and pulled the membrane back a bit. If she lives, her name is Summi [means 'with help' in Latin] I really want her to pull through!
I've left the 2 SLW in there, they are running in circles and stepping all over the eggs, but hopefully the noise and movement will kick start Summi to get out of the shell [well, what's left of it anyway]
I sure hope my other batch of Eng Orps do better than this one.
Mine has cracked a bit more also but nothing from the other eggs.no rocking but at least the crack is bigger. still only one pipped so far.
OH SORRY!!! I would love a splash too . SO pretty!!As much as I enjoy the compliments...those Gorgeous Silkie Chicks belong to Waititout. Yes, that top pic appears to be a splash.
BTW...My dream is to hatch a Splash Orp... Someday!
