Who's the Daddy?

I have 2 Roosters. Today I separated 1 rooster and 7 hens for breeding purposes.
But, if my research is correct. The 2nd roosters sperm maybe present in some of my hens for up to 2 weeks.

My question is... will a chicken store the old sperm when having a new donor?

I had separated the group before stumbling across this info about sperm storing, if the hens system doesn't flush out the old and replace it with the new, then have I just wasted an hour of my evening and upset my flock for no apparent reason.

They can store that sperm over a month. I have had a mutt chick hatched after a month of seperation. During that time either rooster could be daddy. If you plan on selling purebred eggs or chicks, I would wait over a month.

My avatar is the Rooster I want to breed my Ameraucanas to. He was given to me a year ago, supposedly less than a year old then.
I don't know enough about the difference between Easter Eggers and Ameraucanas to claim pure bred anything.

The other Rooster is a Russian Orloff and just a year old and "very" active fellow. I already have 2 chicks I believe to be his offspring, due to the fact the blue eggs my hen hatched gave me 2 yellow legged chicks.

You should call him vanilla Ice.

We got him when I went to checkout a craigslist add offering "free" chickens.
My wife had said "NO" roosters, but I couldn't resist, I had never seen a rooster like that.
But, my wife knows any animal that is mean or aggressive and I get rid of it quick.
The Guinea that came with the small flock the rooster was in soon proved to be very aggressive to the chickens I had, and I discovered that old guineas shouldn't be pan fried.

Vanilla Ice? I like my rooster more than that.

very pretty easter egger. due to the simple fact that ee's can hatch out looking like anything he may or may not be daddy but yes a hen can still have the other roos babies for up to a month. after that month has passed all babies should be that roos babies. i did test it with a few of my hens, removed the cock altogether and for a month all the eggs were still fertile after that month was over i only received a fertile egg here and there for another week then nothing

being that he is a white bird, white babies have a yellow down not white. as for leg color again ee's can hatch any color including leg color even from birds that have slate or green legs. we have ee's were the dad is a sultan (slate legs like ee mom) and the babies have hatched out with slate, green, willow, and yellow legs
