I have 2 Roosters. Today I separated 1 rooster and 7 hens for breeding purposes.
But, if my research is correct. The 2nd roosters sperm maybe present in some of my hens for up to 2 weeks.
My question is... will a chicken store the old sperm when having a new donor?
I had separated the group before stumbling across this info about sperm storing, if the hens system doesn't flush out the old and replace it with the new, then have I just wasted an hour of my evening and upset my flock for no apparent reason.
