Who's the kittens' mother?

There are 3 stray kittens and 4 stray adult cats near my house. There are many female cats and 1 kitten belongs to one of them and the other 2 belongs to the calico stray I saw. The small kitten was hiding in a tree but doesn't mind being touched, I don't know who's the mother but when the kitten was running, one of the ginger cats was following it and checking on it. What are some signs that a cat is the mother of a kitten?

Please rescue the cats. Take them to a shelter or see if there is a cat rescue group nearby. Dumped cats have short miserable lives.

You can take the kittens and get milk replacer and start them on kitten food too. They will need vet exams also with wormer and vaccines.
