Whose at the bottom of your pecking order

This is Little Black, she is at the bottom. She makes mournful sounds when she is walking amongst them. I think it helps ease the bullying. I feel bad for her, so sad the sounds. She is so little, short short legs on her, not sure what she is. She is dwarfed by my Australorp.
I have never seen her peck anyone, or attempt to. She tugs on all the humans heartstrings. She's not bullied too much, but , she has to be careful, as if she lets her guard down, that's when she gets pecked.

I responded once already on this thread, but this time when I read the title the answer came real clearly.

Who is at the bottom of the pecking order?

Me

And that's the way it is.

Definitely by salmon Faverolles! They are really sweet, but loud. They will just keep squawking and squawking and squawking...endlessly for hours. They will sit on the roosts and do the egg call for ours as the other girls go in and out of the nests. It is quite common to see there heads and necks wet. We figure the other girls get irritated with them so much that when the SFs are drinking water the other hens head dunk them. It doesn't help that they can't see well with their muffs blocking their vision. The JG roo will call the hens under the tree if he is worried about something and the SF roo has had to go out and collect the two SF hens since they are completely oblivious to what has just happened. My JG roo won't get them. He has too many other girls to care the slightest about my SF hens. They sure are sweethearts though!

We have 19 Gold Comets (aka Red Stars or Red Sex Links) and we had pecking order problems when we added the second six pullets to the established flock of six already in the coop. In particular the older gals, (and only by a couple of months or so) would go after this one young pullet who had a pea comb. The older ones all had full combs and they would be unmerciful to 'Ellen', which is what we named her. They would also to a less degree pick on 'Flopsie' who had a full comb but it flopped over to the side, hence her name. Then we added the last seven 'Youngsters' to the mix and 'Ellen' immediately became the tormentor of them. S*** rolls down hill, I guess. But now we don't seem to notice any single hen being picked on. As for 'Ellen', she grew her comb out and she now has a full red comb. And I suspect she's one of our best layers too.

This is a pic of 'Ellen'. We named her after Ellen DeGeneris because we figured she was a late bloomer because she might have sexual identity issues...
