WHOSE EGG??

I would LOVE to have a thread where everyone could post pics of their un-identified eggs and have some seasoned (or unseasoned!) BYC folks help identify them. I've been searching for days and there isn't a lot of help out there (like eggs labeled by breed) on this website or the world wide web. (Please direct me if I'm missing something.) The only thing I've found is this BYC thread https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/330479/eggs-by-breed-pic.
It's a good start but needs to be revived and have a lot more contributions.
HELP me by going to the above linked thread or posting on this one!

Here's my eggs and my questions:

I have 5 hens that are at point of lay. They all have bright red combs and wattles. From oldest to youngest they are two 21 week old Production Reds, one 19 week old BO, two 19 week old Australorps. On July 30th I got my first egg. I am almost positive it was from my oldest PR, Peach. I checked her vent and her pubic bones. The next day I got an identical egg. They are the same shape, color and each have a wrinkly end with red smudges on the wrinkles. On Day 3 I got a different egg. It is smaller, a slightly different shape and has little dots on the wide end (not speckles-much smaller). I checked everyone's pubic bones and the widest are Peach's and Alaska's (Alaska is one of the Australorps). The other detail is that the first egg was laid in the middle box (I have 3 egg boxes), #2 egg was laid on the far left and the #3 egg was in the center again.

Another egg this morning! This one was also from the middle box. Here's a photo of all 4 of our first eggs.




This pic shows the wrinkles on the ends:



I checked their pelvic bones again. I can almost fit 3 fingers between Peach's, 2 1/2 fingers between Alaska's, 2 1/4 between Mandolin (our other 21 week old Prod. Red), almost 2 between Georgia's (the other 19 week old Aust.) and just 1 between Delta's (19 week old BO).
You don't think all of these eggs could have been laid by Peach do you?
Any guesses as to whose is whose?

Ok, I adjusted my monitor to show things smaller and all the pictures on Cats Critters chart showed up fine.

Update: This morning I saw Peach (21 week old Prod. Red) go into the middle egg box around 7 am. Yesterday's egg was laid in the same place around 6 am. This would fit the 25 hours between egg rule.
Here's an updated photo of all 5 first eggs. They are in order of appearance from left to right.



Any thoughts from anyone? Do you think these were all laid by the same bird? Only egg #2 was laid in a different box. See my first post for more details if you want to know more before making your guesses. Thank you for any feedback

Hm, 1 and 2 were laid by the same chicken (Peach maybe?), third is probably Alaska, fourth is from another pullet, and fifth from yet another. Those are my guesses! In about a week, you can compare repeats... individuals really do tend to lay generally similar shapes from one day to the next. As for color, that changes all the time even with an individual chicken, depending on feed nutrients, age, health, etc. Hope this helps

Thank you! And, yes, you are right. As I observe more I will get some hard evidence as to whose are whose. As far as the last egg is concerned I did see Peach go in and lay that one. So, now I do know what hers look like.

Well, I saw Peach lay another one this morning. It had that same wrinkled end that 4 of the others had. The only one that really seems different as far as shape goes is egg #3. The only thing is if there was a second chicken laying wouldn't she have laid another by now? It's been 5 days since egg #3.

Egg #3 is definitely different in shape from any of the others. Egg #4 is definitely different than any of the others because of those spots! I find that a chicken who lays a spotted egg will continue to do so, with variations on the general shell color. Egg #5 in the above pic looks different from any of the others as well. In that picture, looks like you have four different chickens that laid those eggs. What does the sixth egg look like? The wrinkled ends are probably because they are all pullets and laying their first eggs, that will probably go away with time. I like this game

Maybe post all six eggs together? No one else but me seems to be excited about egg shapes...

Hm. I heard somewhere that you could match the color of the eggs to the color of the chicken's ear.
