Let me just sound silly for a moment - I went to a friend's farm today and saw a turkey like the 'man' of the week for the first time. Sure, I have seen wild turkey, but, my goodness, he was huge and handsome! He was so big that he kind of scared me - I'm new to birds, give me a minute to warm up. He sure was so interesting to watch though!

We have a Christmas tree farm down the street from us, and at that time of year, when they open they always bring a bunch of animals along.
They had this awesome turkey there last year - he was really pretty, I would drive past at night and he would be perched on the fence, during the day he amused all the kids with his "funny tail" and "funny noises" I was amazed he stayed put, being that he perched on the fence every night!

Growing up, my uncle had a big gobbler like that. He was mean!! If you tried to walk past him, he attacked. If you rode your bike by the house, he'd fly up on your back and attack. He was so nasty, but he was also tasty.
