Are they fertile? I always wanted to hatch some swedes

Actually I haven't hatched runners or harlies either
Yes they are fertile. It's my first time hatching eggs. I didn't want anymore ducks until spring but I was curious if a chicken would hatch duck eggs.

I have a pekin and rouen at laying age, a pekin/cayuga about a month from laying, and some Heinz 57's almost 2 months old. My drake is the cayuga.

Do you have pics of Cayuga Pekin cross?? I would really like to see it!

I know peeps who have used chickens to hatch duck eggs, I guess Silkies are great for that!

I have 2 Khaki Campbells and I usually get 2 eggs daily. The ducklings are not old enough yet. They are only 15 weeks.

We currently have three adult females:

-- BabyDuck (white Muscovy) is still with the ducklings...

-- Echo (chocolate Muscovy) is still staying along the fence-wall to BabyDuck's ducklings, mourning the loss of her own. I really hope once the babies are integrated (we're keeping a few females to balance gender ratios) and/or processed (going into the freezer), she'll snap out of it.

-- Holly (chocolate Muscovy) started laying eggs a week or so ago, but after three she stopped.
