What kind of Ducks do you have laying EGGS right now ??

I know with our crazy weather ~ across the whole states ~

I have Cayuga & Anconas laying right now!

A big fat 0 here. My girls of laying age are in the earliest molt I have ever experienced, little Betty is too young by about a month for me to even think of eggs from her, and the yungins ate just getting their first set of feathers. *sigh*

I have two ladies, one runner and one magpie, sitting on nests full of eggs who do nothing but hiss at me every day...lol. I am getting between 3-5 eggs a day from the other 6 hens who are old enough to lay, which isn't too bad. The most reliable girl I have at the moment seems to be my lone Pekin though.
Next month, I should have 6 more old enough to start and two are Cayugas: I am REALLY looking forward to their eggs.

I just started getting eggs this week, about 1 per day from one of my six female ducks. I think they are coming from my 19week old Cayuga-Roeun mix, who my daughter named "Thunder".

My runner and rouen started laying their first ever eggs 5 days ago. They have been very polite, making sure I get at least one egg a day and am up to six! This is my first ever duck (or any feathered friend) owning experience and each morning when I find an egg it's like a birthday present. When I found the very first, I was so proud that I called my mom, boyfriend, and sent pictures to more family and friends ... At 6am .... I was so proud that you'd think I layed (...laid?) the dang thing.

Of the nine runners and two buffs, we are getting about four buff eggs a week and four to six runner eggs a day.

So generous, these girls!
I have never had runners, but I heard they are eggcellent layers!

Do you have pics of the Cayuga Roeun or should I say a "Yugeoun"

everytime I get eggs from my birds! But I really love gathering my duck eggs! Hope to get goose eggs soon... I did the post & happy dance & call my peeps on my 1st egg!

I have 11 runners,4 harlequins, 2 black and 2 blue swedish laying. I dread going out every morning to feed and water because of all the eggs. I am feeding a lot of the eggs back to them.

Are they fertile? I always wanted to hatch some swedes

Actually I haven't hatched runners or harlies either

I have a pekin and rouen at laying age, a pekin/cayuga about a month from laying, and some Heinz 57's almost 2 months old. My drake is the cayuga.
