I have two dodges, and my husband has a ford, but what you heard was just a guy blowing smoke. All of the vehicles out there appeal to different people for different reasons; it can be as minor as looks that put someone over the edge towards one of the other.
My personal vehicle is a 2005 Dodge 3/4 ton diesel truck. I use it hard, and could easily put a ton of feed in it. I often put half a ton in it. We pull a giant trailer with the Ford 3/4 ton (we each had our own before we met) and my work truck carries a zillion tools around. But what you might need in a vehicle is most likely different from what we need in a vehicle. Don't base your choices on someone's juvenile posturing.
