My easter eggers are 15 and 16 months of age. My Ameraucana hens are about 3 years and lay blue eggs. My Rhode Island Reds are 9 months old and lay brown eggs. Where did this tiny green egg come from?
Photo a grape tomato and the egg I found in the chicken run.

I have Ameracauna's that lay olive eggs but one day out of the blue, one of them laid a blue egg! Hasn't happened since.

As for size, it can vary. I've noticed that the eggs I do get these days tend to be smaller in size so I attribute that to sporadic laying due to less daylight and cold temps. They aren't on a regular laying schedule anymore so it's a surprise to see what they've laid when I go to look.

That's not a small egg. This is a small egg. That's one of those large olives next to it. Lol
