Why am I so ugly?

did she happen to have membrane stuck to her when she hatched?,,, that,, or,, like my ugly ones,, she between "feathering",, i have a few like that right now,, and being all white dont help them AT ALL

Yes, I believe it did have some of the membrane stuck to it and I had to help it. This one is white on top but darker feathering underneath, it just doesn't show good in the picture.

Now after looking at Thor, I do feel better about how this one might come out anyway. Thor is gorgeous!

I know it is just a phase they go through, but that is exactly how I felt about our Langshan chicks. Here is a picture of what I believe is a Langhshan roo-he is all long legs (and attitude), with his feathery feet there is something vaguely prehistoric looking about him.

The lovely little lady with him is my daughter Eliana. We call her the chicken whisperer.

If they can pass off Tori Spelling as extravagantly gorgeous, then that chick should win some birdie beauty pageants.

My 9 chicks are now around 2 weeks old and my wife already thinks they are uuuu-gleee! I told her just wait a little while.....
