Why Ancestry.com is very amusing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ancestory.com is a fun website to research your family however you must take it with a grain of salt if you are going back so far. Sure you can add them on your family tree but be prepared if the original documents of birth, marriage and death records does not jive with your information.

Princess Diana and I share one common ancestor back in the Spencer family however I am guessing she would have been my 36th cousin? LOL! I have to go back and see how many generations back we are to the same ancestor.

We didnt have that many people populated in every country but alot of the records are unknown or lost in time....as most of us probably all descendents of those three so called original people in the beginning of time, as National Geographic had a story about where we all came from.

I was a member of ancestry.com a while back. I found my father's life history, his service records, he worked for the railroad so I was able to access his pay records from the time he was 17 until he died at 45. I was able to obtain birth certificates, death certificates.

I found tons of information about my grandparents, I have a copy of my Nana's and fathers SS application. I was amazed at the information you could obtain from census data.

Most of the time ancestry.com provided a link to mail away for the information. I would never had know where to look otherwise.

I was a year long project that netted me a binder of information.

This made me laugh so hard! Did you ever see the episode of Frasier, where he and Niles thought they were related to royalty? In the end, they found out they were related to "whores and thieves." It was really funny, as pretentious as they always were.
