Why are chickens so easy to catch at night?

Why is it that you can catch a chicken at night and he doesnt hardly move? Just woundering.

It's kind of like putting a cover over a bird cage to settle one down. Chickens have very poor night vision, so that's at least part of it. That's why it's so important to have a secure coop, because they're easy pickins for prey after dark.
