Why Are EE really not Considered a Breed to Show ??

Is that why the APA has not recognized the BLRW yet. They don't breed true You get 3 color variants
No, that is not the reason. All (Andalusian) blue breeds do not breed true. Yet numerous blue breeds are accepted - blue Wyandottes, blue Cochins, blue Andalusians, blue silkies, and so on. In those breeds often blue and black are accepted but splash is not.

Getting a variety accepted by the APA is a difficult task. I forget the exact rules but there need to be x number of breeders across the country, they need to be shown at x number of shows for so many years, and so on. The dedicated breeders of BLRW are still trying to improve the breed type and coloring.

This is all very fascinating to me. I Love reading the history of chickens / Their SOP's all though most of them are like reading a foreign language. What about Dun Laced Wyandotte's do they breed true ?

Thanks for clarifying that. I have very little experience with show chickens.)
