Why are my 3 Salmon Favrolles losing their

feathers on their face. I cannot see any other symptoms but all 3 of these hens have lost their beard and facial feathers. They also have feather loss on their backs that I am assuming is from the roo. But their face? Any ideas? None of my other hens (different breeds) are doing this.

I have no idea.

Have you checked them for lice/mites? Our rescues had a really bad lice problem and two of them had lost all the feathers around their face.

The first time I introduced a bearded hen to my flock, the unbearded ones plucked it out. Now I have several that matured at the same time, so it doesn't look strange to everyone.
