Why are my chickens aggressive at night when roosting?

If you move the food and water completely out of the coop, that will help. There are different ways to keep water from freezing in the winter months so that will help. Many people who have small coops keep the food and water out in their runs only.
that's what I was thinking but I'm worried if I do then they'll need it for some reason. When I put their food in the run they all use that and it's a small dish that barely gets empty. The food in the coop does get filled with poop and te water gets barrried with bedding.

Sorry but I'm not getting rid of my babies but I will take a picture when u get home
You'd rather they suffer living in inadequate housing?
It's one of the hard things about chickeneering,
sometimes you have to remove birds for the good of the flock.

it wont let me add pictures

They are not suffering and get good care and are safe. Also it still won't let me add pictures. It keeps saying there was a problem. I have tried through phone and computer.

If the are pecking on each other because of crowding they are suffering, that is not good care IMO.
How old are these birds?

Did you look at the link I provided...and/or ask on the feedback forum?

If you let them out every day first thing, moving the water and food out will be fine. They will use what they have outside then. They dont eat or drink at night.

Your right. And maybe since winter is coming it will convince them to go outside instead of in the coop all day. I'll start this weekend and see how it goes. I might do food first and then move onto the water
