Why Are My Chickens Laying So Many Eggs??

Thanks, all! As to what I would do if it seemed like there were too many eggs being laid: I currently have a light in their coop because I live so far north that the sun doesn't rise until 9am and goes down around 4:30 in the winter. If I had found out that laying this many eggs was too much of a stress on their systems then I would remove the light to try and give them a rest. That's all!

Happy chickens give you lots of eggs in return. Be happy that you have figured out what makes them out. I never complain about to many eggs

We let ours out in a corral every day, I used to only let them out when I was home and 2 started laying to add to the one that was. I think its the extra light. We're very happy.
