Why are my chickens running from me?

I have 8 chicks (6 pullets and 2 cockerels). Lately all of them have been running from me every chance they get and they don’t like being held very much anymore. Is there any reason for this or are do they just not enjoy being held and stuff?

My first batch did the same. Ran from me like they're in a Godzilla movie. Now they run towards me because I'm associated with yummy treats. Out of 20 hens only 2 let me touch them and 1 jumps on my lap.

It takes time. Don't force them. They'll come around.

I have a mixed flock. Some breeds come right over and dont mind being picked up, while others keep their distance. It can also just be the bird, not the breed. I had a delaware that would fly on my shoulder and sit there while I cleaned the coop or just relaxed, but my new replacement girl won't have a thing to do with me. I find if you don't force them, just be present, their curiosity will start to kick in and they will come to you. If you keep going over and picking them up when they don't want to be held, they will run away from you. Just let them come to you. By the way, if you have a treat every time, they will always come running to see if they'll get some.
