My hens have started a habit recently about screaming at each other and at everything anymore. Why are they doing this? It sounds like the alarm call a rooster does when a hawk flies by, but it's a loud scream. Kinda like a wild chicken does that's never been interacted with by people. Like when you catch them they scream so loud. Anyways back to the subject. They're screaming as I'm typing this thread. I'm outside now watching them and there is nothing around. No birds, hawks cats or dogs flying or running around at the moment. And when one of my hens finds food, the other hens like to run up to them and when they do... "SCREAM!!" They go. Why? Any ideas? They're not sick or anything because I monitor my chickens 24/7 checking on them once every hour.
