Why are my muscovy not laying eggs?

Mine eat mice too, but I lost three hens over the winter and I think it was due to disease, the only source I could discern was rodents so I was not happy about them eating them. I have five hens and lost three. The duck house has a door for the ducks to enter and I think rodents come in there too. I was worried they may have consumed the eggs because I often find dead rodents in there! But they are also often seen eating those dead mice, too. I have taken them away after losing those hens in the winter.
