Why are my peacock eyes blue?

I acquired two free peachicks, mid August, at a few days old. That makes them about five months old, both hens that I can tell, their eyes are blue. Every picture that I’ve seen of India blues their eyes are brown when will they change If at all?

The eyes will be anywhere from brown to almost black of normal IB unless they are carrying a white gene then they will be blue. All White peas eyes are blue.

That’s interesting to know, the previous farm had no white peacocks, maybe somewhere Ik their family line?

I have seen blue eyes, brown eyes, almost black eyes, grey eyes, and even green eyes in peas. Sometimes it has to do with color sometimes it doesn't. I have midnight bs with grey eyes and have had whites with brown eyes.

Interesting, I have never seen dark-colored eyes on a White bird.

Most of the ones I've had had blue or grey eyes but there were a few with brown
