These two never startedMost hens don't lay every day, and many take breaks throughout the season. We are getting to the end of this season, and the heat causes many to stop laying. It's normal.
Well one of the silkies was quarantined for a while and we kept getting a small egg daily. The red was a similar situation. Seams odd they alternated. Possible though. We've introduced new birds to the flock in the last two week so I'm not suppressed they aren't laying. I'm a nervy so what I "Know" is limited. How do you know for sure they aren't laying? Just curious. It's unusual for a hen to never lay.
