I would have to say the worst near miss I ever saw involved a small car and a fire truck.

Was heading home on a 2 lane highway there were 4 other vehicles in front of me. The first vehicle was driving 60 mph. Speed limit is 70mph.
there was a lot of oncoming traffic so nobody was really trying to pass this guy.
i had a gold colored car come speeding up behind me. I also was listening to a local volunteer fire department respond to a fire, so I knew there was 2 fire trucks heading our way.
The guy behind me kept edging out to pass all of us, but couldn't because of the traffic.
The first truck went by us and he went to pass I tried to wave him off, but he just gunned it. we were on a hill and a solid line.
I hit my brakes because I knew it was going to be ugly. He made it around and if the other fire truck had not swerved at the right moment we would have had a really nasty pile up.
That driver would have lost the test because it was their pumper truck. Almost the size of a 2 ton truck.

I called the sheriff's office and reported him, but the deputy on duty is known for doing nothing. so they never caught him.
deputy claimed he could not have caught him, huh? the driver was heading right towards town, right where he was.

Use your signal lights! They are NOT just for decorations!!!!

I swear, people here are either physically or mentally handicapped and cannot use their finger to click the blinker stick. It is not that hard. Oh, the people in AR, I am CERTAIN, are trained to not use their blinkers. They just slam on the brakes in the middle of the road and sit there. When you honk your horn because you have no idea what they are doing, they flip you off and continue to sit there. 2 minutes later, they decide it's a good idea to turn left.


GAH!

Whatever happened to helping other drivers? Truckers can't see real well in the dark...so if they're clear of your car and it's clear for them to move over, why would you slam on the gas to keep them out of your lane? Why not just flash your lights and let them over? They've been driving, probably, all day. Give them a little help once in awhile. Is it really gonna kill you to be courteous?

I HATE the morons that ride the freeway onramp until it completely goes away....they just follow the white line...don't even look for cars already on the freeway...they just come on over...

I ran one moron into the Iceplant for that. There were three cars in front of me, a delivery truck on my left, and NO ONE behind for at least a mile. Here comes the on ramp and a car came right up from behind and stayed beside me right until the on ramp lane went away.
Any reasonably intelligent person would have just pulled onto the freeway right behind me, manuvered around the truck to my left and Bob's your unkle, off you go as fast as you want to...But NO...NOT this guy...He came over into my lane WHERE I WAS STILL DRIVING. He got really close, looked at me shocked, like my big white truck just materialized out of thin air. I waved and smiled, he blew the horn and was waving his arms, never slowed down, and off into the iceplant he went. BMW's slide just as well as a toyota's in iceplant.
After all that there was STILL NO ONE BEHIND ME.
All the moron had to do is let off the gas for a second, and pull right behind me and he wouldn't have been picking iceplant out of his pretty crome wheels.
