You don't open an incubator to check on the egg's unless the outside room temp is the same as the inside as the incubator and no A/C or swamp cooler going in the room this sudden change will cause shrink wrapping and you will need to help every chick out and this is not good for the chicks and you will get better and healthier chick if you just let them go and some chicks just pass in the hatch process but this is your incubator and run it your way ,,, Also I leave my chicks in the incubator for 24 hours after hatch as the chick has 3 days of survival food inside them .......
