Why are there no auto-sexing breeds of duck?

i am far from an expert in ducks, but nearly all the autosexing varieties of chicken were crossed with barred rock. in chickens females need 2 genes to be barred, males only need one. therefore if you cross a barred hen and a non barred rooster, the offspring will be autosexing- males will be barred (white dot) females will be solid colored.

again im not an expert in ducks, and dont understand their genetic lines. but it could be possible to create an autosexing variety by crossing a white female with silver genes to a red colored male if they exist.

corrected for wrong information.

Murray McMurray sells an auto sexing hybrid duck that are called Gold Star Ducks. Their information does not include which ducks are used in this hybrid.

The chicken genetics on making sex link hybrids that loveourbirds gave you is completely wrong.

In some strains of Welsh Harlequins you can sex ducklings by their beak color at birth. Many members have found this to be fairly accurate.

If I'm not mistaken Golden Star hybrids are sex linked but not a auto-sexed breed.
