I ordered some Delawares from the coop last week. some have dark feet and some have yellow feet. They are all supposed to be delawares. Is it a sexing thing?

No. Doesn't matter the sex, they all should have the same shank color.

We need pics.

Some hatcheries mix their Delawares with other breeds for vigor.. Unfortunately that leaves you with a mixed lot. If you only want eggs that is just fine. If you are into showing or just want a special look you will have to order from a breeder of that breed. Enjoy your new chicks. gloria Jean

What you have to do with a mixed lot, is choose carefully which you'd use for breeding stock and divide your flock so as not to mix the eggs. Hatch or sell only those eggs from hens that meet the highest standards of the breed. Get as close as you possibly can. Improve your flock with a quality addition of very, very good stock as time permits, going forward.

The world is already flooded with so so birds of mediocre quality. With the chicken craze and hatching craze, it's only more so.

I took a few Pictures. hard to get them to stay still though, lol
I don't know what they are supposed to look like as chicks. but as adults its black extremities with white body, and yellow legs right?

not the same color or size

I know the delawares are supposed to grow faster so it would explain the size differences. the whiter one has the dark legs and the bigger more colored one has the yellow legs
they are a week old

I think they're fine. I have Delawares and the roos had very very yellow legs and the hens have legs the same color as your smaller chick, kind of a grayish yellow. I bet you have a pair.

I just noticed some are missing the middle toenail on both feet. I hope that has nothing to do with their dark legs
