Why can't I have normal egg customers?

Nah, in our small town the station is only manned during the day. Everyone responds to fires from home.

WHAT the heck?!?!? What's he doin' with all them eggs!?! Now I am curious!

We have a customer that buys 12 to 16 dozen every Thursday. And yes, he and his wife eat most of them. He was telling me today that he ate a dozen yesterday by himself. I asked him how his cholesterol was doing. LOL If they have any left over by the next Thursday then they will share with their workers.

I was on a fire department and if you get the afternoon or overnight shift everyone takes turn cooking for all that is on duty. they can eat alot of food.

Maybe he mixes up a big batch of cornbread and freezes batter/cooked bread? I've done this with cakes in spring, since it's too hot to make birthday cakes in summer, I make them in April and wrap and freeze baking for summer thawing.

We get people who want a few dozen at a time too. Maybe the are sharing with family, I don't know.

Like my 48 year old skateboarding/surfer brother likes to say WHY BE NORMAL?????

The Norms know not what they miss and I guess the "Special" as opposed to "Abnormal" have an in to the yummieness of fresh eggs as opposed to what they get at the grocery store.

The only difference between ordinary and extraordinary is the EXTRA!

I must be like your brother... 4 egg omlet with mushrooms, peppers, cheese and hashbrowns all inside. Just about every day till doc told me to cut back and eat more veggies

Cooking for my family though, I could easily go through 30+ eggs a morning if we all wanted eggs

I understand completely your problem.. I had only my weekly customers order the last two week. So, I made noodle etc. with my extras. No problem. Also, hookedup with a local fruit stand to start selling my eggs. This week I have one of my regulars say just give me an extra doz. another tell me bring me two more dozen. Then eveyone of my non weekly customers come to me an say they want eggs today. On top of this I had a new customer come to me for eggs. I am now 17 doz in the hole. I am having to tell them the end of next week.... I wish these people would just order on a regular schedule so I know how many eggs I will need ...give or take a few dozen.

I've been telling my hubby that we will need an egg fridge when our younger pullets get started just to keep them all cool and fresh. He's not convinced yet. I have lots of chickens a few laying now, chicks in the brooder, and eggs in the bator. He'll find out that we can't use them all or give them all away, lol! I want to sell SOME of them!
