Why can't I rehome them?!

Well they are just 2 hatchery hens. But they are very bonded to each other. The 3 of them (drake and 2 hens) were VERY bonded, but losing him made me & the hens very sad, and they are very bonded now. So they must go together. I don't like splitting birds up.

That's cheap even for hatchery birds DG. The welshies down here even hatchery quality still go for about 20 - 25 a piece. I'm sorry you lost your drake though

I've had a really hard time selling my extra ducks this year too. I don't know why- I'd keep the ducks over chickens any day.
Don't lower your price- that is already really cheap for adult females.

It really is! And harlequins are one of the better layers of ducks too.

These are rouens. Not Welsh Harlequins. Still are really pretty ducks though! If they were Harlequins they would be on there for $30 and would probably be rehomed already. This breed seems to go fast at any age.

It all depends on demand. When we moved with short notice, I ended up selling some of my 6 week old muscovy for $5 each and ended up having to give away the adult pair and 4 remaining ducklings! But I was desperate. Good luck.

Hmm you should defiantly be able to get 20 for some Rouens. For some reason down here everyone loves the look of them.

If I was nearby, they'd already be sold. You're offering a great price. Just be patient. Had a trio of juvenile ducklings that I couldn't sell to save my life for weeks. Was about to give up when someone came and bought them all.

You do need to wait for that one person to see the adds. Good photos REALLY help. Don't lower your price! I'd be asking $20 EACH up here. I just sold all my Saxony (4 adults and 3 babies) for $100, took 2 days.

If they're currently laying eggs, say so in the add. State that they're healthy. Say you've lost the drake and they need someone who has a husband for them. Make the add cute and informative with good photos. I haven't had anything take longer than a week to sell, even crossbred boys. Too many adds state the bare minimum and people tend to go with the add that calls to them. Make that add sing to someone!
