why did my barred rock go to bed so very early tonight?

she is almost 4 mo old. she hasn't started laying yet. during the day today, she acted normal. i saw nothing different about her. later this afternoon she acted like she was looking for something & kinda talking to herself. then she casually walked in the coop - still broad daylight. she got up on the roost & stayed. when the other three came to bed, all seemed normal.
she isn't puffed up, she was eating today. any ideas? thanks
 
she seems ok this morn. am i looking at the beginning of illness or disease? is she getting ready to lay eggs? what does it mean?
 
I had a RIR that was always the first in the coop. I think she just wanted the good spot on the roosting bar. I don't think you have anything to worry about.
