Personally i wouldn't chance it with a bucket. It may work for some but there is always that chance the kits will escape since those little guys will crawl anywhere. It would have to be secure so it doesn't roll around too. a lot of rabbits will also eat blankets and towels, and it can block their bowels up. You don't want that. Your best bet is a metal tsc tractor supply nest box. Or you can try to locate a wooden one from somewhere. you want something that doesn't move around and the kits can't climb out of. They cost about $20 at tractor supply.
