Update...

I checked on the Roo and found out he is just over two years old. Now I believe I am going to send my cowboy over to check his feathers....and do a "man-scape". BA HAHAHAHA!

So it seems the common opinion is problem with the Roo. I did point out that MY eggs were doing fine, it was met with "well that's a different chicken". Exactly. Different hen different hen.

The roo could just not be performing. I have a silkie rooster who only performs for his favourites, which so far is only two. And both are silkies. He does not service the other breeds

My Clyde plays favorites with our two hens. One week he'll be all over Bonnie, the next he can't get enough of Princess Lay-A.

That would also explain why I have seen fertile eggs from these chickens. I know when they gathered for this hatch they just went out and grabbed what was in the nesting boxes that afternoon.

i'm dumbfounded too! wow! if your bantam eggs are doing fine, then i would venture to guess that it's not YOU and the way you incubate. and besides....NO growth from 29 eggs??? wow! is all i can think to say! i know for best fertility you should have about 1 roo to 10 hens. but like you said, not one grew, you would think SOME would have been fertile, even if only 2 for cryin out loud. anyone else here that can help? ideas?

sorry, my bad....what do i know? i don't have any roosters anyway...lol! well, i just thought i had read it here at one time or another. thanks for clarifying.
