I used to think that my rabbits were the greatest animals to have around because they are great therapy to cuddle into, but the chickens are stealing me away. Well, almost.

have fun with her!they are so friendly! altough, if you have another flock that is a diff breed, because they are docile, BOs get picked on alot, so be careful!

You know - I must have gotten a double dose of evil Buff Orpington twindome or something. I read so much about how adorable and sweet and docile they are so in my mix of chicks I got two. They are EVIL!!!! One of them is constantly giving the "stink eye" and pecking at the kids. The same one also ate the tail feathers off of a chick three weeks her senior....found her with bloody evidence all over her beak. I had to stick her in a pen with older chicks that could fight her off before her attitude leveled out. The second was her accomplice...pecky, mean, BUT protects those younger than her. Why don't I have nice one!?!?!? LOL

I don't know where on Long Island you are, but Riverhead Agway is where I picked up my BO. They have lots right now. HURRY!!!

That's where I got my current "ladies" from. If my friend calls and says it is a no go at the PA feed store, maybe I'll call Agway on Sunday and go get them myself - THANKS!!!

I have 10 BO's they are good winter layers and I have one who is my absolute favorite! She comes to me and loves to be picked up. If I dont pick her up in a timely fashion, she jumps up on me. I dont know what I would do if I ever lost her. Give your little one lots of TLC and she'll return the favor
