Why do I sometimes get eggs with white spots from my hens?

Some days their eggs are totally brown, but the next day they might be a darker brown with white speckles all over them...It has to be something they are eating, I think because if one hen lays a speckled egg then the others seem to as well...So for a week all the eggs will be solid brown, or a barely tinted cream, and then one day I get a cream with white speckles, and a brown with white speckles...Are they getting too much calcium? Then again they haven't been outside for a few days, so maybe that has something to do with it...

Here is one of the eggs in question...




it feels smooth and the spots don't wash or scratch off...it just looks different. Sometimes my eggs have no spots...and other times they look like this.

That defiantely looks like calcium deposits.
