Why do Kids today have so many problems?

Haha! The Vaseline might be more healthy then what the fake oils are made of

I think going the route of life ex[ectancy with this subject is the wrong tactic.
Remember what the video said, about the modern health problems facing the kids today?

I agree with Steve as well. I also agree that food is not what it used to be and the additives and processing chemicals are not healthy for us. I also think that Weston Price is rather extreme in his ideas. My kid has food allergies, we watch what we eat and eat mostly natural foods. Something is going to kill us eventually but a can of pork and beans once a month likely won't be it. Sitting in front of the couch every night for hours and not moving anything but eyes and fingers is more likely to kill us early, than white flour...just saying. Nothing is as obvious as that.

What Dr. Price found, was when modern foods were fed, the physical structure fell apart.
His photos speak for themselves.
He took thousands of them, some of which he put in his book.
Food allergies are common today, and it has more to do with the preparation of foods, along with the toxic environment we live in.
These things are naturally passed on through the mother. All babies are born with the same gut bacteria that the mother has, and each generation gets a bit worse.

Very intereting. Thanks for sharing.

I remember my mom always said that real butter is better for you, and not to eat margarine! Mom's been gone now for 22 years, she passed away at 62. Funny thing though, she also said that beef will kill you, lol! Maybe some truth in that too, especially today.

........And; here are some things that would make us healthier, in my opinion:

1) drink from a glass, real glass - not plastic
2) keep your food in the refrigerator in glass containers, not plastic
3) don't put any products on your skin that you wouldn't put in your mouth (it all ends up inside you)
4) eat something alive every day, like sprouts or dandelion leaves from your yard in a salad
5) take real baths with epsom salt in the water at least once a week, instead of a shower

...and teach your kids to do the same things...

Commercial meat, yes, but not grassfed/pastured.

What foods sustained human life for thousands of years?

A combo of meat, dairy and veges and grains.

I agree on the plastic thing....I only drink from a glass....I hate plastic makes stuff taste funny.

I hate I go out to eat at a restaurant like dennys, perkins, sharis etc. and they bring you plastic cups ugghh its so nasty. I ask for glass and they are like what and looking at me all stupid and my husband tells them what I want. We have to explain every-time why, so irritating.

Oh yeah and milk in glass containers left on your doorstep the best ever! I don't even hardly drink or like milk anymore.

I have not touched a drop of commercial milk in over 2 1/2 years.
I LOVE my raw fresh milk

Planning on changing our diet to less chemicals, hormones, GMOs...

But as to Grands...

Mems (Great Gran on Mom's Side) just died in May... just short of her 89th... MS for about fifty years, but it was a bone disease (and the major pain meds to treat it) that did her in. Major sweet tooth, loved fried foods... NOT a salad eater. Her other half, Peps, is still chugging along.

Ol' Granny (Great Gran on Dad's Side) is still kicking, though slowed, and turned 96 in February. Ol' Papa passed back in '99. Lost a leg to a blood clot, drinker, smoker, served in WWII... and still lasted until he was 85.... both eating eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, pancakes etc for breakfast.

Now you go to their kids... Gran (Mem's DD) died before she hit 70, major smoker and it was her lungs that killed her. For Dub (Ol'Gran's DS) it was smoking and weight that got him.

Overall I don't think it's what they were eating... eggs aren't naturally bad for us... it's what's hidden in the eggs that we are NOW eating (that was not there in their day) that's making the difference... and that's what I'm working on fixing in our diets. Wish me luck, it's a LOT of info to wade through, a lot of hunting to find suppliers... but I'm trying for my sake true... but mostly because I can't watch my kiddos drink something and not think "Just what exactly did I just give them? Protein or Poison?"... not a happy feeling.

Truth is I don't trust those photos. How do I know which children ate what? I know kids today who eat chips and candy, don't brush their teeth, or go to the dentist and have sickeningly perfect straight white teeth....then others who eat healthy, brush, regular checkups, and have rotten teeth. Doesn't add up to me.
