Why do Magpies swoop my chickens?

I need a solution too as I just moved in and 6 weeks later I named the magpie Maggie then 2 days later shes swooping my chickens and scaring them so they hide under house with no sun all day till dark and safe to go back to there bed then I lock them away. No nests or young magpies just annoying big magpie. I took jet name back but she won’t listen when I tell to go away - help please !!!!

Try a hose. Leave it out in the sun so the water warms up, then let them have it full throttle each and every time you spot them.
