Why do my almost 5 week old chicks go berserk every time I reach into the brooder?

Put a second chick in the sick bay with injured one. Make sure it's one that doesn't pick on injury chick.

I would, but I have no idea which ones picked on her :( I do have a heat lamp on her to keep her warm til her back feathers and bare patches on her wings grow back in. She's eating and drinking now, which is a relief.

Mine are 9 weeks tomorrow and they all run to the corner and pigpile and burrow under the huddle one after the other. I let them out of the coop and a truck with a loud trailer bouncing and crashing around make s them bee line it for the corner. Unless they are hungry and thirsty then I'm the Ice Cream Truck man...
