Why do my ducks look like crap?

I suppose this is why their yard looks like a pillow fight gone wrong too?

I hoped it was something like that. The pictures don’t do it justice, they were sleek and shiny looking, last week, now it’s not so spiffy. I just don’t want to ignore an issue.

Yep, they get their juvenile feathers in, look lovely for a couple weeks, then they grow another set! They preen constantly, and leave feathers everywhere. Don't worry, though. They'll be looking good again soon.

Yeah, they're molting a bit, but they look pretty darn healthy to me!
