Well you said it yourself, "I can't. It's a national park." So yeah, I am assuming it is illegal to kill animals in a national park in Spain. You said it was a creature like an oversized mink, so it was a Martin, likely a pine Marten. Minks are not good climbers and will not try to get away from you by running up a tree. Pine Martens are semi arboreal and do try to escape from predators by climbing.It's called a Fagina here, It's nothing like a Fisher Cat.
What do you know about what is and isn't legal out here.
