Why do so many people colony breed buttons?

Title says it all,, why??
from a lot of people and my own experience colony breeding buttons doesn't seem to go very well, but all the influencers and people making videos seem to be colony breeding without an issue, are they just not showing the issues or are they somehow succeeding?

update on my buttons, I just got my first chicks from my main pair, they seem to be doing well

I guess because then they don’t have to buy/make as many cages, feeders, etc. I keep a trio of males together, but I do think that they fight a little.

Mass production, I was watching a myshire farms video on aggression in coturnix and they use 3.5 birds per square foot, my entire flock could go in a six foot square enclosure, ugh! Even at a square foot per bird they seem snug, I love having the option for more space but that doesn’t work in a production system geared towards optimizing profit. I can about break even selling eggs and chicks but the labor is free! But then it is a hobby and not a job.

I have experimented over the years.
Why?
Because I like to breed different colours, and I am restricted to 3 avairies I can use for them, and I will not put them in small cages.
I currently have a quartet, of Red Cinnamons a pair of Silvers and a pair of Silver cock to Dilute Cinnamon hen.
Size of avairy and personality of birds decides what I have where.
