Ok we get to the behavior thing first until the sun decides to wake up so I can take pictures. I have one bourbon red which I believe is a Tom as he very adament about protecting the other two and he like to puff up at my rooster once in awhile he hasn't gobbled that I heard. They all make a chirp/purring noise when I am out side so yeah. Anyways the two that we bought at four months old that where suppose to be hens have this annoying habbit to pester me lol. By that I mean one likes to peck at my legs or rub her beak on my leg as if I a tissue.... She does this every time I am outside sitting down. When I work in the garden they go after my hands like they where bugs but ignore the actual bugs. They will also dig with their beaks to get the dirt off me lol some times they bite my fingers but that's mostly when my nails have been painted but not always most of the time it's gently but there have been a few times to where they trying to take my finger the brats. My husband says they just obsessed with me because they won't harassed anyone else. they run from the kids and the walk close to him but that's like three feet away with me they are on top of me pretty much but I am the one that feeds them.

....ohhh that makes sense lol will they grow out of that lol silly question I love them but getting bit can be not fun specially when its so regularly lol. They be a year old this spring close to April or may I can't remember which

Here are some pictures

Not likely my girls do this to me, its a sign of respect and recognition within the flocks pecking order. My one hen is the most adamant about it, she will preen everyone from human to goose. She sees herself as second in command under us humans and one very well known spurred hen in the flock who kicked her hiney a few times.

Your Bourbon red is a hen. I've got a Royal palm hen that fans out all the time but she's a hen for sure.

Sounds like they're attached to you. Only one of my turkeys, A rescued Broad breasted bronze hen is like that.. Your hens are very beautiful~
