They people I got him from had told me that his parents were both half black and half wild.. Perhaps I miss heard? Or possible they didn't know.. Either way i'm still pretty happy with him. He sure is beautiful whatever he is..

The offspring from a Bronze (wild) and Black turkey mating will be a Barred Black.
There are many people selling turkeys as something they are not. Sometimes it is because they just don't know any better and in a few cases they do it intentionally. A Bronze turkey is bb CC and a Black turkey is BB CC. In order to get a Tri-Color Mottled Black Bb Ccg the cg color gene has to come from one of the parents. Turkeys that carry the cg color gene are Royal Palms b1b1 cgcg nn or b1b1 cgcg n-, Sweetgrass b1b1 cgcg and a number of others such as the Oregon group and even a Bronze Gray.

Wow. 100 for a Tom. I would do a dance for joy. Around my area toms are bringing about 25 to 30 dollars.

I have 12 extra toms right now.

Trio' s are about 150.
