Why do they eat dog Poo?

I've noticed our chicken really enjoy eating dog poo out of the yard! It's like they're drawn to it! Will it make them sick? I know dogs eat poo from other critters.... IDK

I'd discourage that if I were you. There was a post on here earlier that a dog was taken to the vet and it was said to have cocci. I'd be careful about letting them share the same areas. Did you see that post?

Hmm, I don't know but I would invest in a pooper scooper for doggie.

I think they all do! Horse poo is on the top of my dog's list though...probably because she cant get into the chicken coop! TErri O

I haven't noticed the chickens eating dog poo ( I try to keep it picked up, but one is a golden lab...need I say more?) but the dogs sure seem to love chicken plop, and on a farm, in the country, with free ranging chickens, separate areas are a mere dream!
