Why do you love your chickens?

I love mine because even when you burn the corn cakes, THEY will still eat them. Unlike certain DH's, DD's and DS's...lol

Because they bring joy and peace to my soul.... and I've made thousands of new friends here because of them!

I love mine because they make me laugh! I absolutely love to see them spot me in the yard and coming running, wings flapping as hard and fast as they can to see what treat I have for them!

I simply love to watch them run!

The way they run thinking you got food.

My one chicken we rename Tarzana cause she like umm "crows" out of no where. She is really loud too, you can hear her at the other end of the house, and our coop is the far corner of the back yard. (she lays eggs, so it is not roo) lol

I love my bantams, I have two feather legged ones. They look so funny they cute. Tori is almost out of her "homely" stage.

I also like knowing where we get our eggs from. That the chickens are happy and they are our pets. not just egg machines to us.

I love watching them, they bring such peace to my life. They are comical and when you are sad, they don't ask a lot of question, they just cheer you up with their comical antics.

When you need someone to talk too, they will always take time to listen.

When you need a cuddle, there is always one that will cuddle with you and make you feel better.

I love my chickens and turkeys!!!

i love my chickens because they are so silly it doesnt matter what they are doing, they are hilarious! everytime i go into the coop they are talking to me and i love it!! even tho i have only had chickens for 5 months.. i could never imagine not having them! everyone thinks im insane when i go into the coop and i have conversations with my poultry lol

Its so peaceful and comical to watch them. Its also funny to watch 6" high young roos fight for dominance and then the big roo come show them who's boss

I love my chickens because I can't live in the country right now, but was able to bring a small piece of it to me thanks to them. That and unlike my other pets, they lay something that ends up on the table instead of the cat box or lawn.
