Why does Corid need the water changed daily? Just curious!

Hello!

I've got a pretty clear case of coccidiosis, so, I am following the dosing guidelines for Corid and will absolutely change the water daily, as directed. I'm curious as to why it needs to be changed daily, is it temperature or exposure to sunlight or a just a way to ensure fresh water?

I think it is to insure the water being clean and free from droppings or beak contamination, which contain the coccidia oocysts.
