Why does my chick chirp so loud?

I have a chick that recently hatched like 6 days ago. I let her be on outside (Living room) when I put her back in her little house she starts chirping loud. Sometimes she get's out of her house. (She was the only one to hatch) Her house is warm and she has eaten. She eats a lot. I don't know whats wrong with her, I need to know what is wrong with her or what she needs.

Warm is 95 degrees for a 1 day to 1 week old. A thermometer needs to be at her level, with no drafts. Is she alone? she needs a buddy! 24/7 access to clean water and Chick starter food. Try the Brooder thread/forum. Loud chirping means distress.

She is lonely. Chickens are social. They need to be around other chickens. Can you get another chick to keep her company?

she’s probably just lonely, they usually like company, if she’s at the needed temperate that newborns need and she eats and drinks water and poops then she just wants company, try getting it a buddy

My cousins chick almost died because it was so stress about being alone.

they also snuggle with them and when they grow up they hang out in groups for safety and other reasons, definitely get her a companion!

in the meanwhile you should put a light stuffed animal in her brooder to atleast mimic a buddy

Definitely a lonely little chick. Chickens are very social and need to be with other chickens. In a pinch people will put a small plush animal in with the lone chick.

Try and see if anyone around you is giving away/selling a chick around the same age. Whilst you find a friend try giving her a mirror. Though that isn’t a permanent fix, more just a temporary one that you use to try and comfort her. I hope this helps

if you have a tractor supply nearby they usually sell them there, they’re usually 3-7 dollars per chick , try looking for chicks around the area!
