Why does my rooster do this ?

My lil silkie rooster is 21 weeks old !! Just started crowing & chasing the girls around. My question is this every night for weeks he sits in the doorway of the coop (not big enough block it tho) and pecks at every girl that comes in except one. Once they get in he does a lil pecking too and everyone is trying pile up together so some of the poor girls end up pushed out the doorway or startled back out. This goes on for few mins then everyone is in & settled down

...what's up w/this?

Probably trying to show who is in charge. I think I would remove him, maybe just for an hour or so til all are settled down for the night.

Thanks I've been wondering what on earth to do! I have 2 more girls that I had in there but they are bit younger & were too intimidated to walk by him so tried sleep in the run every night so I had put them in every night . I've since moved them in a tractor w/ my lil Cochins . Gonna try them in again when they are lil bigger & mayb I can get him to act lil more like gentleman by taking him out in meantime lol!
