I had the sweetest hen that would do the same, and now I have a serama pullet that just waddles behind anyone she sees while they're walking. It's cute.it might be a love bite - I used to have a roo that would gently grab my pointer finger and then hold on for a second, from what I could tell it's a show of affection
I also have an Ameraucana named Penny who does this. I spend about 20 minutes with my chickens in the run each morning and when it's time for scratch she will bite my hands and legs.
