I know I ordered 5 barred rocks. I also have 5 GL wyandottes, which I can tell, because of the stripes down their backs.
They are 8 days old, and I noticed yesterday that this little girl(?) looks different from the other 4. The others definitely have bars on their wings, but this girl has white tips and no bars. I ordered all pullets and really am hoping she is not a he!!
What can you all tell me about this? By the way she is just beautiful!!!

My barred rock chick had white tips on its wings too, and I was convinced it was a boy. Since then she has feathered out and is now 5 weeks, she is alot darker. You can definitely tell she is a pullet now. I wouldn't worry about it, unless there seems to be more white than black when she starts getting her feathers. That could mean she is really he. I would just wait a little bit longer.

Here is a pic of one of my Golden Lace Wyandottes. All 5 of them look exactly the same, and they look just like the pics of the GLW's that McMurray hatchery has.
The first little girl(original post) looks different enough from the 4 other BR's that I do wonder if they substituted something else, although, she does have a white spot on her head like the rest.
I will have to go have a close look at her comb...
ETA: I ordered them from TSC, they hatched at Mt. Healthy hatchery.
