Why does the egg I’m incubating have this weird blood circle?

It’s just annoying how people think I’m that dumb to not see the crack that’s obviously there 🙄
They dont think your dumb, probably just trying to inform you what they see. i hope the hatching goes well, im not to sure about it though, i wouldnt want to give wrong advice. To me, it looks dead and bad, however i cant say that with certainty.

Oh my gosh why do you even care so much about a crack? I was asking about the blood ring and so far everybody has been focused on crack instead of the blood ring. If I wanted to start a conversation on cracks in eggs I’m incubating, I would’ve posted about that instead. It’s my eggs and I’m sorry if it offends you that I put an egg in the incubator with a tiny fricken crack.
I'm not offended about YOUR egg! It is your egg and you do what you want with it! I can leave this thread if you want!

I don't throw out blood rings, half of them are still alive. However this one is definitely dead.
That's good to know! My incubator heat source took a dive with over 3 dozen eggs inside, most were in maybe a week and every one had the ring. Hopefully some continue to develop.

I came home to a 55-f degree incubator, unsure how long it had been. 2 of 12 developed beilefelders I bought did end up hatching a few days later, I think I changed the bulb just in time for them.

I'm sorry if it offends YOU that we are all telling you about the crack in the egg! I've had a duck who had trouble walking and he also had unhealthy feathers! So everyone was telling me my ducks feathers were unhealthy with was good because I didn't tell them in my post!

I think its also a bit useful, the OP might not know that information therefor people will tell what they point out and what they see :)

To jump in here... I have not hatched eggs before but one day I might. Can someone please tell me more about blood rings? I thought a blood ring was a sure indicator of a dead chick but some of you are saying it's not. What casues a blood ring? And has anyone ever had a successful hatch following a blood ring? Thanks.

It's the blood veins decaying and pulling away from the embryo. They don't tend to be visible I my experience after the first 2 weeks.
